Earth law is not just for lawyers. Earth's laws govern all human beings. Earth law education develops and delivers content through a web-based global platfrom, as well as in-place eco-learning practice tools for public, private and corporate deployment.

Earth law advocates for the health of the Earth and the interests of the interests of human beings in healthy ecosystems. Loud legal voices of corporations, government actors, the wealthiest individuals, and those committed as media influencers, gain the attention of judges and lawmakers. Earth law voices the interests of humans and nature in a truly sustainable world that are not presently being heard in our systems of law and governance, public and private.

From concept to execution, Earth law consulting engages with private law firms developing Earth law practice areas, governments and corporations aligning their projects and decision-making with the conservation and protection of nature, law schools and universities developing interdisciplinary courses and curricula, media ventures developing new narratives, and NGO's caring for Earth locally and globally.

Today’s legal systems are built on an outdated worldview — one that sees humans as separate from nature. Earth Law, by contrast, is based on recognizing Earth as the primary source of law. It frames political, economic, financial and social structures based on a scientific understanding of planetary boundaries within which life can be sustained. Grounded in science and cultural wisdom, it calls for legal and social frameworks that support the flourishing of our complex and dynamic living Earth.

Earth Law is the fastest growing legal movement in the world. It can be hard to define, since Earth Law is an umbrella term for a variety of approaches to transforming the legal system both domestically and internationally. This includes the Rights of Nature, Indigenous Legalities, and extending the Public Trust Doctrine to encompass entities such as the atmosphere. Sometimes movements conflict with each other: some Indigenous groups reject rights-based frameworks entirely, because those systems still create those that have rights, and thus a legal voice, and those that do not. Some view the Rights of Nature as a necessary step toward abandoning rights-based frameworks entirely and embracing the stewardship practices prevalent in Indigenous cultures worldwide.
Our Mission is to to deliver transformative legal services, education, and sustainability strategies that regenerate relationships between people and planet. We do this through a variety of approaches because our clients live in a variety of ecosystems and enjoy unique lifeways.
